Lumb above collarbone

Hello,

I have a palpable lymph node above my left collarbone. It's the size of a pea but more oval than round. It has been there for at least 5 years and has not grown. It's very movable and soft under the skin. It's not really hard. I showed it to my doctor and he told me not to worry about it. But then I look on the internet and I see everywheres that lumps in that area are very serious. Should I go to another doctor about it?

Also I am also very skinny so palpable lymph nodes are common on my body and I am 24 years old female.

Yes weight can def make lymph nodes stick out more.  I am not as skinny as you are but i can still feel mine.  One of my doctors says its normal the other says no way! I doubt its anything serious.  let me know how it goes

Hi!
Mine is above my left shoulder-blade but I don't really need to go dig deep unless i'm laying down and my shoulders are crouched. If i'm standing up straight it is actually above the collarbone itself. There is only one and I have had it physically checked by 3 doctors and everyone of them told me it was a normal lymph node. I don't believe that if it can be felt it is necessarily enlarged because in my case I am very skinny (89lbs) so they don't have my room to hide.. Also I was told if it was the size of a pea it wasn't enlarged. and if it was enlarged a bit and we kept feeling it (like i'm sure you do too) just that would keep it enlarged.

I imagine after 5 years if it was cancer, it would keep growing. Especially after all the tests you have done I wouldn't worry. I'm going for a blood test next week so if it's something serious that has been there so long it should show up in my blood.

I'm 23 yr old female and I'm actually going through the exact same thing!  The only difference is I can feel about 2-3 nodes in that area also on my right but I have to digdeep for them. I search online for hours everyday and all that comes up is cancer!  I have had many tests done. I've had 2 full body ct scans with contrast and a biopsy. The scandetected 4 enlarged nodes the largest was the one I had biopsied it came out benign. My hemotologist said I don't have cancer I mentioned about my supraclavicular node she explained some people just have palpable nodes cuz of past infections.

Well then I chose to get a second opinion and even though he said he doesnt think I have cancer he ordered me a pet scan just to make sure. I'm scared but if I have cancer I'll just have to fight it. This doctor explains they shouldnt be felt and being felt means their enlarged. So which doctor do I believe ya know?  I think its good if we talk were the same age basically and same symptom. Where exactly is the node? I can only feel mine if I push my shoulders back and push in there. What bout u?  Do u feel just 1?
