So Scared I probably killed myself

Hi I am 30 and when I was 16 I had a operation on one of my testicles it wasn't anything to do with cancer. I forgot what it was called. Been trying to figure out how I can find out. About 6 too 7 years ago I went to the doctor because my right testicle is bigger like it had been when i got the operation and it hurt a bit saw his assitant and he told me he felt no lumps and then saw the doctor and said he felt no lumps either and that one testicle can be bigger than the other. I was scheduled to go get a sonogram for just in case. But I never went don't know why. I am stupid and I probably killed myself if I had cancer it should have spread all over my body after all this time. My testicle hasn't grown any bigger but I been felling a little pain not much. I am so scared. I have a trip that I always wanted too go leave on the 12 for 10 days and when I come back I am going too the doctor and face my fear. If it is cancer I killed myself because after 7 years it should be spread all over my body. I only done blood work and urine test about 3 months or more and everything came out okay. Going on my final trip then face my fears so scared.

If it was 7 years of cancer being there you would be in rough shape or possibly not with us now.  It could be a cyst or possibly some other condition that is causing it to be larger. I would get the sonogram/ultrasound to ease your mind.  There are also more specific tests like MRIs, blood work, ect they can do to rule out other things.

I know your right but the blood work I had 3 months ago or 5 wasn't for the testicle it was blood work done for something else just like a physical but the doctor never checked my testicle. Its been 7 years since a doctor checked my testicle. That's why I am going for my final trip because if it is cancer its been 7 years it should have already and would be too late.

Hi Bibbster, I would be sure to go to the dr to ease your fears, but if it wasn't cancer then, it may not be anything now either.  I'm sure they did blood work and all the required tests to come to that conclusion.  Why not try to get into the dr tomm for the sonogram, the results are usually pretty fast then you'd know for sure to ease your fears so you can really enjoy the trip rather than think about this and worry.
