what is it called when your lymphnodes are removed due to being cancerous. and then you live with that extremity to be swollen for life.

Thank you for your kind words. But, I'm not sure this is true in my case. I have lived with this extreme edema since 1996. Today it's larger than ever. I wish it would go away. I would even consider amputating at this point.It's very, very depressing.

That doesn't always happen. I had some of mine removed due to cancer and
had no edema in that extremity. It's be 13 years and I don't have any problems with swelling. Don't put the horse before the cart. Give it some
time and your ego will be waiting for you.
