operate Gist tumor

Hi. can someone answer me this question...
My dad has gist cancer. he removed the first tumor 6 years ago. and this last year he is been alot worse. He have 11 tumors in his abdome and had some infektion. he is imune to the glivec medicin. and they have only one more medicin left to try. But he realy wants to try to find a place they will try to operate. They have sad here in norway that it cant be operate. But mabye some other contry. hope to get some answers..:)

Hi,
How is your dad? I understand your concern regarding this and it is important that you discuss the management plan with his attending physicians. A referral to  other countries may also be done if your dad wants to pursue surgery. Their network may help in finding the best hospital for him.  Take care and do keep us posted.
