My cat's head is twitching/ jerking

I woke up  today and found my cat laying on the floor and he was shaking like he was having a seizure, then after a few minutes he stopped and just his head was shaking/ nodding....it kind of looked like a mix between parkinson's and turettes. I have already had him at a vets office and the doc had no idea what was wrong and the test were really expensive, so i had him put down. i just wan to know what might have happened to him

This was most likely a stroke.  I am very sorry for your loss.
