I Have a 17 day old kitten. what should i do to  make sure the kitten stays healthy ?

Annie is so right that is awfully young, and without guidance from a Vet it isn't likely a kitten this young will survive without the proper formula....and good care advice.
the kitten will also need something to help support its immune system, this is usually acquired thru the milk from its mother.
do not give a young home fed kitten vaccinations until they are at least a few months old, this would only further depress the immune function..

whats happened to its mother? did you rescue this kitten? I sure hope it wasn't taken away so early for any other reason...
keep us updated your going to need lots of help for this kitten to survive..best to you both♥

17 days is pretty young.  Are you bottle feeding KMR and cleaning the kit's bottom so he or she can be stimulated to poop?  That would be the beginning of good care.  Then see the vet for advice on early shots.
