A Teia anniversary

5 years ago today, Teia sat in Anita's lap for the first time.  She had been with us just over 19 months.

I think both of them ended up a bit surprised.

Had a new breakthrough yesterday.

Buff and Cooper will chase Teia a little, batting at her legs and flanks like they do to each other before a wrestling match breaks out.

Miss Teia turned the tables and was chasing Buff.  Luckily, a wrestling match did not break out as I do not think she's quite up to that.  But Buff, when he broke away turned, sat down and looked very confused.

LOL That would've been a great video!!!  Good for Miss Teia for chasing Buff.  Bet that was too adorable!!

I completely understand how special that moment was for you and Anita.  The 8½ yrs we had Jade, she never once sat in either my husband or I's lap.  She was a 'sit beside you' kitty, never a lap kitty.  That was one of the reasons why she was my perfect kitty.  Due to pain, I couldn't tolerate the weight of a cat on my lap.  One day, the year she passed, though, she stepped down onto my lap from the arm of the chair.  She only stayed there a couple seconds, but she had never done that before.  It was a thrilling moment.
