Oh, Pip, I can see you're struggling. Losing Chessie Bear so suddenly was a shock, and a lot to cope with. I agree with Pamela; I've even said something along those lines to my husband over the yrs about you.
What a blessing you've been to every one of your girls. Thank you for sharing this darling photo.
Hugs...♥
As some may know, I am a Pagan, in particular, I am Asatru. I follow the gods and goddesses of my pre-Christian northern European forebears, particularly the northern Germanic/Scandinavian ones.
I was Offering my devotion tonight to Eira, who is the Holy One we look to for healing. Family and friends have loved ones who are ill, or have lost loved to illness recently. My purpose was to ask healing be sent to them.
As I sat by the fireside, I was also prompted to talk to Freya. She is usually thought of as a goddess of physical love, but I see her as a guardian of cats, too. I asked that she look after our kitties who have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge, and send a blessing to our kitties who still grace us with their presence.
It was a bit whelming, I shed tears as I spoke the names of my kitties who have made that Final Journey: Lily, Baby Cat, Tiger, Tuna, Queen Victoria Grey, Calamity Jane Grey, April Dancer, Cerridwen Blythe, Silver Kestrel the Ransacker and Chesapeake Bandylegs the Hunter...and Anita's cats that I knew who also have gone over: Junior, Tiger and Fonzie. And, of course, our two girls who are still doing just fine: Hildiekatt Halfshadow the Harrier and Miss Teia Honey.
They give us so very much and demand so little.
Something very special about people who love animals as much as you do. Thanks for the photo! Pamela
