Fibrosarcoma

I just found out the other day that my cat Buddy Holly has Fibrosarcoma. The vet did an x-ray and it has already in his lungs. I don't want to say goodbye this soon. Is there anything I can get over the counter to give him that may help prolong his life a little bit longer? And how long do we have with him? Everything I have read doesn't really say.

I'm so sorry about Buddy's diagnosis!  I know firsthand that it's not easy to deal with.

The very best you can do is give him tons of love and extra treats, pain meds, and possibly prednisone to cut down inflammation that comes w/ cancer.  These meds may make him more comfortable and give him some more quality time.  If he's not suffering, there is no need to put him down yet.

Take care!

I agree with what Jade has advised. I too am so sorry this is heartbreaking to get a diagnosis like this than to find out there really isn't any help out there either....give Buddy lots of love and 'pain control' he will need you so much in the upcoming days/months.
again we are all so sorry, please post again anytime if we can support or try to answer some questions.

Hello and welcome to the cat forum, but so sorry for the circumstances that have brought you here.  Since the cancer is already in Buddy Holly's lungs, there is really nothing you can do other than give him some extra love and attention since his time is short.  This is beyond anything over the counter, I'm afraid.

It's very hard to tell how long an animal with cancer might live once it metastasizes to the lungs.  Did your vet not give you any type of clue at all?

So sorry again.  We are here for you should you need support.

*Hugs*
