Thank you all.
Hildiekatt no longer battles in this life. She said her goodbyes to us yesterday when she roused. Today, we could see the light had gone out of her eyes, though her little body was still breathing.
The nice folks at the clinic had given her a bath to make her pretty for our last visit, had her wrapped in a blanket with a warm water bottle.
We sat with her for a little, but she was not there anymore. Her breathing was more and more laboered, so we had the vet do the Final Act of Kindness.
She went swiftly and quietly, will be cremated and returned to us. She will rest in the urn, which contains her sister...Silver Kestrel the Ransacker and Hildiekatt Halfshadow the Harrier together again....running around with Tuna Cat, Queen Victoria Grey, Calamity Jane Grey, April Dancer, Cerridwen Blythe and Chesapeake Bandylegs the Hunter.
We'll see how Teia does as a solo cat, will likely adopt another older kitty who is used to other cats after awhile.
AWWWWW, Pip!
So very sorry to hear this news. I am new here , but was looking thru your photo album and it sure seems Ms Hildie, as well as the rest of your "Cat PacK" enjoy a really wonderful life. When it is their time to go you can rest assured they know they lived with Love and Caring.
My prayers go out to you and your family. Enjoy your time over the rainbow bridge, Hildie, until the rest of your families time comes.
Sincerely,
CML
Hello my friend. God, but I was so afraid to read this. I am deeply, deeply sorry.
RIP beautiful, gentle Hildie. Your sisters at the Rainbow Bridge will be waiting with open paws to show you the way.
Hugs to you and Anita, Pip. *sniff*
Awww no Pip I am so very sorry to read this, you tried yr hardest to do everything possible and Hildie knows you did. Her little body just can't rebound and she's telling you she's ready.
Bless you all during this difficult journey my heart goes with you both and of course wth Miss Hildie
Unfortunately, it looks like we are going to have to let Hildie go over the Rainbow. The treatments are not working (got woke up by a call from Dr Ingraham, the overnight vet). They will do palliative care until we can get there this afternoon. Can't get there earlier, have to get new tires as my two front one have cracked sidewalls.
Thanks for checking in, Pip. I've been obsessively checking for your update. It sounds like all we can do is to continue to pray and hope for the best. I know you and Anita will make the right decision at the right time should it come to that. Jade and I sending positive vibes...
