I have called the vet just while ago. We are having Hissie put to sleep tomorrow morning at 10:45. We were scheduled to have it done Thursday. But, she is in agony and we are doing it a day earlier. Very sad night.

i had a cat for about a year one day he came up missing his name was psycho, 2 days later i was in the utility room and low and behold outside at the bottom of the step was psych looking up at me with his huge eyes so glad to see me i flipped out and picked him up found out in minutes he could not stand on his own. it was a saturday night and that meant a trip to the expensive emergency vet. The vet told me that both of his knees were shattered and the cost would be close to $2,000. I took a deep breath and called my dad, at the time i was only 23. i told him what the vet said and my dad told me he was sorry and didnt have the money. I had to tell them to put him asleep. I never went in to say goodbye because i was soo sadand crying. be greatful you gave your hissie a great life. today im almost 30 and im balling writting this to you. My heart is with you.and im so sorry you had to lose your friend.

Dear Lynn - It is an agonizing experience to have to put your beloved pet down. Takes lots of courage and love. May God bring you the peace that passes all understanding and the knowledge that Hissie was one of His creatures and is home with no more aches or pain. Only time will heal your broken heart. My heart cries for you.

I wish I had Pips way with words...but please accept my condolensces as well.  Losing a beloved pet (read, family member), even when we know its time, is a difficult thing to accept.

I'm so sorry!!!  I know how much you love her and how much you've done for her and she loves you and appreciates everything you've done for her.  My heart is hurting for you!!!  I'm in tears - having just lost Daisy last month, this stirs those raw emotions and my heart aches knowing exactly how you feel today!  Please take some time to mourn and some time for you!  Lots of prayers and hugs sent your way!  By the time you read this, Hissie will already be on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge and so please know I am praying for you and your family!
