My cat keeps throwing up and won't eat. What can I do?

All summer my cat has been throwing up stomach liquids randomly. Seems to be no cause. I took her to the vet and spent $200 on tests and x rays and what not and they had no answers. Recently it's gotten worse. She has not eaten since Saturday evening and it is now Monday afternoon. She keeps begging for food, but when I put food in front of her, she won't eat it and if she does eat it, she throws it back up. I bought sensitive digestive system food and that hasn't worked. I've tried giving her four different types of food and it doesn't work. Please tell me what could be wrong or what I can do to help

Hello and welcome...this could be so many things.  And blood work doesn't always show the problem.  There's pip's experience with Ms Teia, then the experience with my kitty Jade who had ulcers.  She acted just like your kitty.  She would want to eat but her tummy hurt too badly, so she would throw up what she ate.

Please see your vet again for an Xray ASAP.  That was how Jade was diagnosed.  If needed, your vet can instruct you on the amount of acid reducer if he feels one is necessary.  Please don't just guess on your own with this.  A cat that isn't eating is an emergency as this can lead to Fatty Liver Disease.  Poor kitty is in pain, or can't smell her food.  It's best to get to the cause first.

Please let us know how it goes.

Our Miss Teia was doing that, turned out to be a hellaciously big hairball/fecal mass stuck in her bowel.  Vet did sub-q fluids and an enema, described it as a hairy, dog log it was so big.
