She's doing a little better, she's moving around more and I got her to eat a bit, thanks you guys so much
How is your kitten this morning??
Jade got it right...it was the OTC flea and tick shampoo...can cause neurological problems, the only thing you may try is to shampoo the kitten again with clear water and get that stuff OFF her asap.....this stuff is very harsh on them, if you have to use such products always get the ones from the Vet they are a little safer....hope she's okay♥
shes around 6 months maybe a lilittle older. I feed her 9lives wet and dry food. Yesterday my mother bathed her and used Sergeant's Gold flea & tick shampoo for cats and kittens.. we've used it once on her before though and this never happened..
A few other thoughts...was a flea product used today? Like an OTC one? Do you have plants in your home she could of eaten? Is there medication in the home where a pill could of dropped on the floor and was ingested? How old a kitten are we talking here?
Also...there has been a recall of Iams and Eukanuba dry food. You don't happen to feed your kitten either of those foods do you? There is a link to the article below your thread. There had been no reports of illness to date, but there is always a first. Just a thought
Okay, wow, in that case, the only thing I can suggest is to put her in a smaller space so she doesn't hurt herself. Calm her and keep her as quiet as possible. This sounds like a possible poisoning...or a head injury. If you don't have the means for a vet or to get her there, I'm so sorry, I just don't know what else to say. It's late, but maybe someone may see this and have an idea. Please keep us updated, okay?
I can't bring her, I have no way there! I don't know what to do! She has little random spurts where she runs to another spot but then she looks like she starts staggering again and can't hold herself up. I don't know what to do, I have no way to get her anywhere and no money!
This is an emergency!!. Please get your kitten to an ER vet immediately!
