Poor kitty. I'm so sorry he is going through this.
May I ask what you are feeding him? You may need to switch brands. Some foods will do that to kitties. You may have to add more ingredients to his diet as well. I know of a very good product: Psyllium Husk. Add a tea spoon to his meals (or twice a day, powder is better) and see what happens. It is proven to help pass the stools.
But you may have to change his food. What are you feeding him?
Wishing for a quick recovery!

thank your for your reply. as for the food, i feed him boiled vegetables and fish or chicken. sometimes, I feed it milk also. I'm from Egypt, so I don't think that we have that product. again, thank you PrettyKitty1 &rockinhippy.
Manalamir,
I am hoping you are still around. There are a few things I’d like to tell you.
First, a cat should never be fed fish. As a treat, once in a while it is OK. But a diet based on fish is dangerous. I would quit giving kitty fish for good although I’m sure he goes crazy over it.
Also, I can see you are trying to provide a balanced meal for him. I commend you for that. However, vegetables as main ingredients are also not good. A cat obtains his vitamins and minerals from the stomach of its kill. But that does not mean it is recommended to give cats vegetables on your own. Notice that, if you put a mouse and a piece of carrot in front of a cat, the cat will want to eat the mouse, not the carrot. That is because they are not vegetarians but obligate carnivores, which means they get no benefit from a diet that is mostly vegetarian. A cat’s meal should consist of:
Fats
Protein
Water
Calcium (bones)
Vitamins and Minerals (which you can find in egg yolk or provide as supplements instead of giving him veggies)
Fiber (but some cats do not need a whole lot of it, only the ones who are fed dry foods need more fiber due to lack of bowel elasticity caused by feeding on dry foods)
Digestive Enzymes and Probiotics (Very much needed to aid digestion)
And well, if you are preparing your cat’s food I would highly recommend that you visit this website
www.catnutrition.org
You will find an excellent guide to better nutrition. Since you live in Egypt, you do what you can...but always try to go with what's best for him within your possibilities.
Best of luck to you!
thank you once again for your reply, but i'm sorry to tell you that my cat "Misho" died today. I'm not going to have a pet again, because i'm not ready to go through the whole experience again.
I am so very sorry for you're loss, obviously you cared very much for your kitty and now feel devastated over the whole ordeal...give yourself some time and if one comes along that desperately needs a loving home you may feel different.
hugs
I'm sorry manalamir, for your cat's passing. I knew he was sick but I wasn't expecting such horrible news. My heart goes out to you.

I'm so sorry to read this, I had so hoped my gut instinct was wrong & that he would be okay, my heart goes out to you, but he's at peace & out of pain now & was obviously much loved, so please try & comfort yourself with that.
After the Cat I mentioned above died, I too swore I would never get another as it hurt too much, but time does heals enough to think again & all Cats do leave a big hole in our homes & lives...
there is a saying here in the UK, that Cats make a House, a Home, & a few months after Suzis passing I realised that was very true, so I adopted 2 6 month old Sisters advertised by a local Sanctuary, without even seeing or knowing anything about them, other than they needed a home, thinking I could offer them a nice place to live, feed them well, & they would be company for each other, strangely when they turned up, they were both identical to Suzi.
I promised myself I would not love them in the way I had Suzi.......how wrong I was.......sadly one died young in mysterious circumstance, possibly a botched spaying operation.....the other went on to be my companion for over 20 years & what an amazing Cat she was, so many stories I could tell about her, & her other companions over the years......& yes it hurts when they leave us, especially when we Nurse them through the roller coaster of illness & injury, but I've learned over the years not to deny myself the pleasure of another Cats company & that Cat a home, because for all they give as companions, ...that pain is so very worth it.
As a foot note, I've visited Egypt several times, & I love your Country, its beautiful, & I have always had a soft spot for those beautiful, Sphinx like ferral Cats you see everywhere
((hug)) for you
thank you all. I agree with you rockinhippy, but the problem is that we all feel guilty for what happend to him, though we did our best. I live in cairo less than an hour away from the sphinx, "abo elhall" in arabic, but i visited it only twice. thank you all for your advices
(sorry if I'm too suspicious but I'm used to forums that attracts a lot of "internet trolls", so I really don't mean to be rude if this is genuine, but I keep seeing posts that do make me wonder if its a problem here too)
Anyway..........In the light of the injury recovery, you really MUST speak to your Vet about this urgently, its possible as its a hip injury that his colon is pinched due to the injury, & it can then become calloused & cause a blockage,
I owned a Cat many years ago, a very beautiful Maine Coone named Suzi, she was in a road accident, lot of major surgery, & she did survive for many years afterwards, but sadly due to the accident & exactly this happening she did eventually have to be put down, as her hips were set too close & it caused callousing that eventually blocked her colon all together.............
if this is happening to your Cat so soon after surgery, it may be that there is something not right & something the Vet can do NOW to help your Cat, but I suspect if left too long, you may lose Him, ...it may on the other hand simply be down to swelling blocking the area, but either way your Cat needs urgent attention from a Vet
good luck, poor thing I hope he will be okay
