*cough* I am sick ><
Anyways, she ate some tuna juice!! yay team Maple Syrup!
and i havnt let her explore yet but i will :3
This reminds me of when I first got Abby. He didn't let us sleep. The next day I was feeling like a zombie at work. Could not do a thing. Where did you find Maple? What's her story? She is crying because she needs to get used to you. She doesn't know you. She'll calm down. Let her explore and get to know the house under your supervision. Let her mark the furniture or whatever she wants. That's how she'll recognize your place as her own. Also, she is lmost 2 months old. Let Sage play with her if she wants to. It is a good sign Sage wants to be friends with Maple. As long as Maple doen't get hurt I think Sage will make her very happy. By just hanging around with Sage she could learn to ue the box. After all, kittens learn by watching with their mom does. I'm glad you decided to get another kitty.
As far as Luffy....is very common his reaction. He'll calm down as well once he realizes Maple is there to stay. Give them time to know each other. He may even hiss at you, but dont worry, he is just a little upset or scared. Remember, cats hate change, and Maple IS change.
Perhaps she is not litter box trained. You have to teach her. Whenever you see her wanting to evacuate, put her quickly in the litter box. She comes out, you get her in, she comes out again, you put her in again...until she gets it. Some cats learn by themselves. My cat did. Others need to be trained.
Place the feces in the box when she goes outside. By doing this, the smell will tell her that the box is the bathroom. Don't punish her. When se finally goes in the litter box, praise her. It could also be she either doesn't like that litter box or she hates the litter. If this is the case you're going to have to get a box and her own litter. Ask what they were using where you first got her. It could also be she urinated on you out of fear. Maybe Luff is being territorial with the box. Make sure she knows where the litter box is located and make sure she likes that location. Cats are fastidious my friend.....
Let me know how it goes. Hopefully someone else will give you more tips.
