You are all bad fellas - putting ideas about buying MORE toys for our babies ;-) in parents mind ...
Even when we are broken, its so hard to resist...
Just kidding - but I did it again! Not the toy you mentioned, but I found a tunnel not so expensive ( and a lot fragile as well - even the expensive products here are...) while looking for a comb and decided for the toy, cos that shop brings few units of this kind of products.
Cardboards tunnels made of recycled recipient of "graffiato" are stronger and free - but the one girls have is getting old and I dont know where get a new one, now that we dont have recycling posts anymore.So...mom bought the stuff
NewTunnel 's advantage is that you can fold it to store.BTW, girls loved more playing with the fragile plastic ribbons that keep it close that with the cat toys (2) attached on the oppposite side for than to play ( they came with)
Loreena ignored everything- and had lots of fun yesterday with a grasshopper - real one, of course!
Kids would destroy it soon if without supervision- but they liked.
Oh, that's too bad. I think I would send it back and get my money back. Cat toys are supposed to be much sturdier than that. I haven't ever thought to get it for Akira because she doesn't like most battery operated or wind-up toys. She will hiss at them and slap them.
I'm sorry to read that. Teia's moves slow and occasionally "twitches" part of the way around the arc.
I got my kids that toy after reading that Teia liked it so much... Oliver broke it within 10 minutes. He would catch the moving thing and not let it go. It wasn't near as sturdy as I would have thought and seemed to move really fast instead of semi-slow and teasing.
This morning and tonight, Teia and Hilde were, for the first time since the move from Illinois, eating close to each other (about 2 feet apart) like they used to in Illinois the last year or so.
Also this morning, Missy T explored the Upstairs for the first time, entering all rooms except the one where Chessie Bear made her den.
Anita said that Teia and Hildie were vying for "Queen of the Hill" over the toy today, getting into hissy-spit arguments. (No fur flew.)
I think it's pretty cool that Miss Teia is enjoying that toy so much. I know a lot of cats really do like that toy. I'm just not so sure Akira would, simply because she's a little bit afraid of battery operated and wind up type toys.
AppleBr, try just clicking on the highlighted links. Those are just web site addresses. If you can't do that, then copy and paste the links into your address bar. One goes directly to the company that makes that toy, and the other one goes to the Amazon site for America showing the same toy. There is a video on the first link showing cats playing with the toy. Even if you don't want to order the toy, because your cats are satisfied with what they already have, those links will show you what that toy is all about.
It looks like this is the perfect toy for Miss Teia. I can tell by the snapshot that she really likes that toy. And, if it's tough enough to take the amount of pouncing that cats will typically do when they're in play/hunting mode, then it's a good toy.
As I sit here typing, Missy T is enjoying the toy.
She loves watching the little arm shiver back and forth under the cover and then will pounce with both forepaws to catch the tail that comes off the ball at the end of the arm. She'll bite at it for a few seconds and bat it so it moves away....repeat for about 10 minutes at a time, then walk away to have a snack.
reference is not so clear, but thanks anyway...
No problem. Its just curiosity - cat's mom is completly broken and thank lord my girls dont mind about toys :-)
Those references are enough,thanks!

I couldn't find the toy on Amazon's Brazil site, but it is on the American site.

One of the TV anchors for a local news station in my area did do a consumer review on this cat toy, and it got a good review. It wasn't just her opinion, as she had some local consumers do some home reviews with their own cats.
Sorry for my ignorance, but what kind of toy is it?
I could not figure out by seeing the pic,the things that caught my atention there were the fireplace and fireplace acessories - and Miss T,for sure :-)
Thanks for retelling the story. I am just so amazed how far she has come under you and Anita's loving care and patience. Teia has come such a long way. Teia has blossomed in her new home because she truly feels that THIS is her home, too. The playing field is now level! =)
I'm glad Teia likes that toy! My mom got it for her cats and they are not too enthralled with it. LOL
Hi Pip,
I love happy endings, and you and your wife have given Teia just that!
Feral cats are challenging that is for sure. I found them to be the most difficult to socialize when they go into a household where there are other cats in residence.
It is interesting that Teia blossomed when you moved to Maryland. She most likely felt equal in home territory, because all cats were brought to a NEW home together. She could etch out her turf along with the others.
That happens quite a lot.
I am so happy that when Teia's time comes she will only have know love as the last place in her heart. She is indeed a lucky gal to have found you.
Sincerely,
CML
I
Im happy Teia got you and Anita - and you both enjoyed her as well!!!
What a cute picture of her playing with that toy. I saw that, but didn't get it for Akira, because Akira doesn't like most battery operated toys or wind up toys because of the noise they make when they're turned on. Not knowing that when I got her, I had bought her a plastic donut with a battery operated mouse that goes around the track of the donut where a plastic ping-pong ball usually goes in the non battery operated donuts. Every time I turned it on Akira would investigate but she would hiss at the toy and slap it, like she did when she would hide under the bed from the previous owner's neighbor's silky terrier that would chase her and bark at her. She would growl and hiss at him, but he wouldn't take a hint. She slapped him pretty good on the face a few times, but he wouldn't take the hint. I guess to Akira that the toy I was describing was just as bad to her as a dog barking at and chasing her.
It's so good to see Teia blossoming into a regular kitty--all because she feels safe, happy and contented. It may be late and in her sunset years, but you've proven that it's never too late if the cat gets the right kind of home.
Thank you for the update. She's a little doll. Love hearing about how she blossomed in your loving household.
My rescue Mommy Baby had a tormented life and was semi feral. She's now super calm. A great companion. I'm getting ready for a trip & she saw the suitcase yesterday. I've been talking to her and reminding her how much I love her and I promise I'm coming back. She's been staying very close.
Ahhh. I'm going to miss her. She really likes the people who stay here while I'm gone. So that's good! Pamela
