I've heard it's best to get them neutered before they start the humping, because after that it may become a habit. Not sure. I've never had male cats. I only had one male dog and he was older when I got him.
This might be a good question for the vet on here. I'd be interested in what he might say about this.
Hi,
I'm not sure getting him fixed will take care of the problem. My boy kitty was fixed as a kitten and still did did it.
We are getting him fixed next week, that's when we'll have money. But this cat is a horny SOB! I just wanted to make sure this has happened to others. It's sick but funny! That does sound right, being weened away from their mom too young, cats are just as F-UP as we are lol.
This is why I don't like male cats, or male anything for that matter! Lol. Well, with the exception of the human race, I guess. Although, that's questionable at times!
Obviously, the best way to stop this behavior is to get your cat fixed. He will calm down a lot once this happens, believe me! Then you'll just have a fat, lazy, content cat to contend with. Much better than one trying to mate with anything that will hold still!
Hi,
Is this a kitten or fairly young cat? I've heard that sometimes when a kitten is weaned from the Mommy cat too early, they will develop a habit of trying to chew on a piece of your clothing or skin, as in your leg, and doing the kneading back and forth with their little paws and purring. I had a cat that did it as a kitten clear thru adulthood. I just gave him his own little blanket and laid it against me so as he wouldn't bite the skin. I believe my cat must have been weaned too early from his Mommy, as I got him from a shelter and he had been adopted and then returned before I adopted him. He was 6 or 8 weeks when I rescued him.
This is a good question for Thomas Dock, so hopefully he'll give you his thoughts and some advice.
