Sweets

I read online that cats can't taste sweets. But if that's true why does my cat love marshmallows and fat free pudding and cake frosting. Idont give her these things regularly. But she loves to have just very tiny amount when I'm eating it. She can hardly wait for me to finish a pudding cup so she can lick it and the spoon.

Well, I didn't believe it either.  Because my cats love sweet things. I just know not to give them much.  I'm careful about their food. And I have a 14 year old with pretty good teeth and she still plays some when she isn't sleeping

I, too, disagree with that post.  Stardust goes crazy for cookies.  She sits on my shoulder waiting to see if she can get some.

well I'd have to disagree with that writeup, IMO cats can indeed taste sweets/sugar and they love it, unfortunately its not at all good for them....just a little occasional taste is lots :))
I have a sweet lover too.
