what has happened to Pepper my kitten

I have a litter of kittens , 6 weeks old   all seemed very healthy until yesterday  one of my kittens was lying there like he was dead......I picked him up  & kept him by himself  thinking he wasn't going  to make it. he was very wobbly  & he would fall over on his back, but he he so determined  ,he got himself back on his feet.. he is still quite wobbly  &  has trouble standing/walking  .       his appetite has dropped off  .he was eating real good.until this happened  .he doesn't like for me to feed him but I do to keep him going.  he is on canned food ,goats milk  & of course water.he loves water.    we took him to the Vet    this morning .she seems to think he has fluid on the brain, she gave him like 3 different meds  mixed with Vitamam B. she said he should be better by tommorrow or to  bring him back & she would try something different  on him.   what is your opinion?    do you think this kitten will make it  ?  I have never dealt  with anything like this before & raised a lot of kittens.

darla,

Please keep us posted on Pepper's progress. I am hoping he will make it. He seems like a very determined kitten so that helps a lot. He wants to get better!

Good Luck!

I think in this case you would probably be wise to listen to your vet.  I think she is most likely right.

Hi  there thank you for your reply.  yes this little fellow he is being a little stubborn I think:)   he don't like me feeding him  ,but I have to right now or he won't eat.yes I am getting plenty of fluids down him. with an eye dropper.. he was eating on his own until he got down.  he is a little fighter though  . he falls over on his back  & he is always determined to get up without help..              I feel so sorry for him.I am doing all I know to do  .I am going to take him back to the Vet tommorrow if he is no better  she said to bring him back in  she will try something different.   yes I will keep you updated on hiim  .I am praying he makes it.he is an Exotic SH  & black as coal. he is so dern cute  .

aww the poor little guy, you did the right thing to get him examined, I'm sorry I don't really have much I can help with, when there is a balance problem it most often is something neurological. I have never dealt with anything like that either, hopefully someone else can give you some suggestions.
be sure to keep giving him solids and fluids by dropper if necessary or his kidneys and liver will fail quickly.
best of luck to you both, keep posting and let us know how he is making out okay.
