Skin of jaw handing down

I noticed that one of the kittens my momma cat had has the skin of its lower jaw hanging down or it is disconnected.  What can be done for this?

Hi, if the skin is dsconnected to the jaw there is no simple home treatment that can fix it.  This sounds like it needs a vet's attention ASAP.  An open wound like that in a baby, will open him up to a major life-threatening infection.  Hope ya take him to the vet soon, he may need to be stitched up and given antibiotics.

Good luck-let us know how the baby is doing!!

I cannot upload a picture at this time.  The jaw is fine.  The kitten can eat fine.  It is the skin that is suppose to be attached to the bottom jaw.  It is a wound of some sort.  It likes it was pulled down and has become disconnected somehow.

I'm not sure what your describing. could you upload a picture to your profile? Does it seem like a defect or a wound? Is the jawbone intact?

(It could just be a trait from a gene it has in it's ancestry).
