Welcome To the Cat Forum: 1st Timers Please View:

Welcome to the Feline Community, a forum for seeking help and advice from each other in all issues regarding cat physical and mental health.

(We also discuss other things not cat related. We’re an open minded bunch around here. At least, the humans are, I can’t speak for the cats. They don't seem inclined to discuss things, at least on-line).

Please note that this is not a veterinarian advice forum, for Veterinarian advice, try the expert forum. If you’re experiencing a medical emergency, take your cat to a vet.

(Keep in mind that many areas offer low or no cost vet services. Contact your local A.S.P.C.A. for information about possible free vet services in your area).

As the Cat Community Leader, Savas hopes to make this a helpful, enjoyable, even fun experience.

Savas has 15 years experience in rescue work, fosterage and adoption/ placement of cats and is happy to offer what advice he can for your cats’ well being, as are many others here.

Remember however that on-line advice or help on medical issues lacks the thoroughness that an in person evaluation can provide.

That said, enjoy your visit and we hope y’all come back now, hear?

Thank you for the wonderfully heartfelt welcome Savas.  I'm sure my Bad Baby Cat thanks you too, as this place may save her life the next time she dumps my HOT coffee on me.  I would ask her and all, but she's presently out plotting my nervous breakdown.

This is great!  My kitties keep me sane and in balance.  We have four:  Grace (a male--and we did not name him! aged 7), Brittany (female, aged 5), Momma Maggie (female, also 5), and Hannah (female, about 2).  (We also have two birds, a parakeet and a cockatiel, but that's a different story!)  Grace is a Russian Blue; he came to us from a friend of mine at work who needed to find a foster mom for him while she was working in Moscow.  That was 6 1/2 years ago--she's long since returned from Russia but he was so much my kitty by then she let me have him.  Brittany is a short-haired black tabby-on white I found at our local rescue place.  I knew she'd been waiting for me as soon as I saw the white spot at the tip of her tail.  My girlfriend and I rescued Momma Maggie from her next door neighbor. She was starving and weighed only ~5 lbs when we loaded her up and took her to the vet.  Hannah came to us as a foster kitty earlier this year.  She was quite sick at the time (constant diarrhea--I forget the name of what she had) and I had to keep her away from my other cats and in a place that could be cleaned easily.  She's a silver tabby with the biggest blue eyes and a 90 deg kink in her tail--plus two claws on each of her front dewclaws.

I love my babies...........

Hi! I just recently discovered this forum for people who love cats! I have 2 cats, Oliver and Dunder and they like to be mischievous but play all the time. They are both around 8 months in age and were adopted :) They keep our lives full and happy after a hard days work. Just today our cat Oliver ate a plastic milk ring!!!! I don't know what to do about this, will it pass through his system? what should we do? Thank you so much!
