Why is my cat bleeding a lot?

Hi, my cat is around 11-12 years old, she is not fixed. And she is bleeding from her vaginal area. Its not just a little bit of blood either. She is dripping everywhere. And even before I know she was bleeding I had put towels down on my bed because I thought she had been throwing up liquids, but when I came home today it was a brighter red color and it had gone through the towels, blankets, and sheets. Its been happening for the past couple days now, that I know of. I am not sure what it could be? Please give me some suggestions to what it could be.

This cat has a very serious problem and needs to be seen by a vet IMMEDIATELY!

This sounds like it is very serious, and I would take her to the vet ASAP!!  I would not wait!
