Our cat has lost weight recently,she has a bloated stomach.She is drinking plenty of water but only taking the occasional lick of food.She is going to the toilet but not doing that much ,i suppose because she is eating hardly anything.....any suggestions as to what could be going on....

I'm thinking kidneys or diabetes also, especially if this is not a young cat.

Please call the Vet and get your kitty there ASAP. If cats stop eating for even just a few days it can also upset their liver. You need to have him checked for kidney issues. The first sign is increased thirst. Don't ignore that. I just went thru this. ((hugs))~Bkitty

your dear kitty needs to see a Vet asap....this sounds very much like CRF (chronic renal failure...kidneys) OR diabetes.... she is most likely in alot of discomfort, please don't wait....these symptoms are very serious.♥
