Our Westie had a shot of Convenia because he had dental work. I am shocked. He got back and has not been the same for the last 2 days. He is withdrawn and just not himself. He did not sleep at all the first night. We gave him probiotics right away after reading all these heartbreaking stories. I cannot believe the drug is still on the market. We are taking him in for blood work today. I am so hopeful he will get though all of this NEEDLESS turmoil.

Keep up the activism any way you can.

Hi Bee,

Y a know that could be the remnants of a Botfly. If it is that lump you are feeling may be the larvae it injects into it's host--which could be your little Furbaby.   Bad Botfly!!! Check it out with your vet to be sure either way EWWWWWW! Huh!

You said your kitty still has a bump on his head. Personally, I would
have your vet examine your cat and advise you what to do. I wish
you and you fur baby well.  Eve ( caregiver of Sammy the cat )

I agree, looks like a scab from a small wound to me. I would wash the area
and apply some antibiotic ointment. Maybe take him in to dvm if he seems ill.

It looks like a scab with some fur attached.  Maybe some of the scab is still there.
