Cavernoma causes

If someone has a small cavernoma and is asymptomatic, received a mild TBI due to motor incident would this be the cause of the bleed? or is it purely genetic and going to happen regardless of the TBI??

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

We r not Drs in this forum, we offer support to all the members by means of sharing info and our own experiences we may have had....I know several of our members have had Cavernomas...and it will all depend on where it is located, but it can bleed for no reason at all but a TBI will do it as well. DO u also have Chiari or syringomyelia?

A NS should be able to tell u more in regards to this being genetic or a result of the TBI....but if it was there b4, the TBI could cause the bleed.

Also look at ur family's medical history...and do keep us posted.
