Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

I have  had my levels checked and my vit D is ok right now,.....but chiari does have related conditions like POTS where u can have pooling of blood in the lower extremities......Have ur BP checked as well as a full check up....

  Are u a chiarian?....if so, when were u dx?

I also have my feet and lower legs turn red and hot, also the fatigue. Have you had your vitamin D checked. I did and boy is it low, the dr put me on a starter of 5,000 mg for 12 weeks and then if level is stable will go on a daily dose. anyways until I've been on it longer can't say if it works. but the low level is said to have the same symptoms we are having.

hi there! just wanted to say this is one of my symptoms.  my feet, mostly toes, become extremely red and swollen (and they hurt) when i stand just for a while, especially when it's hot.  my knees do this too, and sometimes my palms of my hands---mostly when it's hot.  i found a term--erythromelalgia--and a rheumatologist thought it was this as well...but can not give me a reason why it happens, and just says to take aspirin--which i can't because of hypersensitivity to it.  but now that i found i may have chiari, i am thinking this may be the cause of it.....but who knows.  the only meds i'm on is desogen birth control, and my ob/gyn doesn't seem to think it's the cause.

it's a crappy sypmtom, and it's really bad when i'm at work.  idk if this is similar to you.  the only thing that relieves it, is to elevate your feet.
