Anyone else have chronic swollen lymph nodes?

I'm just throwing this one out here since I know we tend to have alot of wierd miscellaneous things going on with our bodies.  I've had a swollen lymph node on the side of my neck since I was a little girl. For a long time there was 1 one each side, but only 1 is still there.  I remember our family doctor telling my mother to dismiss it and it will go away when I grow up (nice, huh?). We're talking 30 plus years ago, so I guess she was wrong- LOL.  I do get the usual swollen glands when I get sick, but this one is just there all the time. Its on the left side of my neck about half way between my jaw & shoulder.
I'm wondering if anyone else has anything similar or if I can write this off as just a freak thing. Thanks!

I have this too! lol. my doctor sent me to a specialist in 08.about it cause it worried him that it never went away. I had been feeling really tired and was having headaches (didn't know about my Chiari yet) so the specialist did surgery to biopsy my lymph node to make sure I didn't have lymphoma. Which I didn't. He said that I just basically had a cluster of lymph nodes and just had more on that side lol. It had always been something I thought about. Just another weird thing about myself lol

Well Raynauds could be connected to Ehlers-Danlos which is a connective tissue disorder,,. I was dx with it yrs ago and nothing in addition,...this was b4 MRI's...neway once I got my Chiari dx and saw a specialist I was told the Raynauds Phenomenon  was from the EDS and not a separate issue for me...so something to look into as well.

I'm so glad that once again someone else understands!  I love this forum :)
I had surgery in July 2010. I haven't really kept track of the nodes on a regular basis, other than I realized today that I can only feel the one on the left side now.  Maybe the right one went away after the surgery ?? I wish I had thought about it earlier. That's interesting that it may be a nerve issue.
Selma, I am pretty sure that I do have some auto immune thing going on. I've been tested 2x for RA by my family dr, but both have come back negative.  I have Reynaud's Syndrome and a kinked brain stem but so far nothing else dx'd.

I have had this also.  This is the one issue I was persistant about on my journey of being Dx's with Chairi.  I still have this and one NS explained it can be caused fromt he nerve that runs behind the eye and down into the neck area.  After surgery I haven't noticed it as swelled, but I have had my tyroid, etc checked and everything is going well.  Have you had surgery?

Hi....I do not have this,  but I know that others have had this issue as well.....it is possible that u have some related issue going on....and u should look into auto immune issues and there r a few others, but right now my chiari brain is not helping me....lol...

I am sure I will remember and post...or some of the other members will post that have dealt with this.
