I am at work and someone opened my letter and rrsd it to me so i cant give detail correctly....



But i have severly restricted csf flow ... No syrinx and no hydrocephyles

But now thats it i am freakking the hell out.... I am suppose to be going away in 2 weeks and seeing the ns again in the new year as i will be away til feb.....

Do i need to have surgery to restore flow..... Can i even fly?

I do not want the surgery..... I am not so symptomatic... But now i know blockage is there i feel like Guna die again... This condition is a joke getting fed up now

  It is always possible for more then one issue to be at work....and to be as healthy as we can is all of our goals.....my weight has gone up and down so much with this dx I can not keep track....and or find what works to lose....one day I will....no worries : )

Cervical spine scannedaccording to letter. I am at work over night so i will read properly tomorrow but according to mother. It says no sign of syringmyelia in cervical bla bla so ill request a full spine next year.


Tbh i have a feeling i have a syrinx in lumbar as i get pain there often and sometimes when i turn and breath in at same.time i get a winded feeling shoot across... I blame my weight for now lol!!!!

  I felt the same way...even when I joined the forum....but then I found my drop attacks were part of my dx which I did not know....and that my falling and balance was also part of it...the more I learned the more I realized how I was being affected.....but we r all different, u know u and how to avoid triggering ur symptoms....

I also hate the ear sounds we get as I still get that post op as I do have related issues that continue to cause that one....so, u do what is best for u <3

I have symptoms. Just not life effecting so much yea my vision and headaches and wooshing in ear pees me off but i don't feel it warrants surgery...

  I think u would know if they did ur whole spine or not.....they would have said what area was being done.....too many Drs only look at the cervical spine...and as u know from reading threads here, we have members with them in the thoracic and lumbar areas too....I am glad u do not have symptoms and will be able to enjoy ur time away : )

no syrinx according to letter. But I don't know which area was scanned. I will ask properly next year when i see him... But for now. Its at the back of my mind. I need to enjoy the next 3 months cause its been pretty sh*t year since diagnosed

  Hi....I am so sorry this is stressing u out, I know u do not feel symptomatic....

Only ur Dr can tell u about waiting, the worry with obstruction like this is the formation of a syrinx....did they check u for those, in the cervical , thoracic and lumbar spine?...Surgery is done to slow progression or stop a syrinx from forming and restore flow....this should also help with symptoms...the fact u can not feel symptoms makes me wonder y, if mayb u do have a syrinx that is pinching off the nerves and y u do not feel it.

How long u can wait, again only ur Dr can speculate there....flying, should not be an issue...the thing is u never know when the symptoms may begin to hit u ....

  Please talk to ur Dr....and try to relax....stress will only make u feel worse.....
