Curious!!!!!!!

Hi Guys,

Hope you are all ok and not suffering to much, Im full of cold and suffering big time, but hey hoping it will pass.

Anyway as you are all aware I had a fab appointment with NS at long long last, and he has reffered me to the senior NL at this hospital for further investigations.

Well have found out NL name and have researched his profile, its amazing not only is he senior NL he is also the clinical director, wrote books, journals for med school etc etc etc,

My question is that through my research on this NL I have found that he specialises in a few areas, was just wandering if anybody out there knows if there is a link with CM 1 and his specialities have listed these below:

Parkinsons disease
Supranuclear palsy
Multiple system atrophy
Corticobasal degeneration
Ataxias
Dystonias
Huntington disease
Deep brain stimulation
Hereditary neuro disorders..

Have looked into a few of these on google and can see links with ataxia and dystonias, with my list of symptoms
but must admit that some of the others are very very frightening.

Guess it just my curious mind wondering if there any links.

Hugs

Thanks Selma,

I knew he wasnt a cm specialist but the NS he reffered me was, guess he only did refferal as he was not convinced that all my symptoms were cm related and wanted clearer picture from NL before he said they were.

NS did agree that cm can manifest and fit into all my symptoms BUT before he tried to start a treatment plan he wanted to rule out other neuro conditions.

I can see from google there is a cerebral ataxia and when you look into it im only guessing that yes a person with cm could clearly fit into this diagnosis.

Im just clutching at staws and trying to research the possibilty if im ever going to be able to work in the job that I adore ever again.

At the moment I really dont think im going to, I feel so lousy and can hardly function just running my house and taking care of me and my DD and DH.

HUGS

Hi Niki..not all his specialties r going to relate to chiari unless he is a true chiari specialist and only treats chiari and related conditions...if that is not the case, he can treat all kinds of conditions that  will scare the pants off u and have no relation to it what so ever....

But u r right with ataxia and dystonias...there r related issues....

  lol...stop googling and relax
