I have had the same question about riding a lawn mower!!
I was dx'd in March of this year and have avoided mowing the lawn so far all summer... and gotten my boyfriend to do it. However, as Crazy as it sounds... i LOve to mow! lol
Will the jarring cause chiari to get worse? I know I will potentially get a headache afterwards.. but if i just live with the headache are jarring activities safe or will it make chiari as a whole worse? Not really sure how to word my question... hoping u guys know what i mean! lol
I should have known better. I don't think the sun had much to do with it, because I waited till it was almost dark and cooler out. After the grass looked great my husband reminded me that I shouldn't be on it. With a smile and a thank you:)
Still suffering, but letting up a little. I wore my hard collar for a few hours and that helped.
Motorcycles..... Yes, they count.
I get a headache every time I hear my 16 year old start his YZ426F up. Especially after watching him bounce off the pavement last month attempting a wheelie. He succeeded the first time, but second time didn't go so well. What a show off. Like I don't have enough headaches...
I'm not brave like that at all. I see my neurosurgeon on the 15 this month. I'll probably chicken out of surgery.
Although I must be a little brave, I did sky dive once. Just once... I wonder what kind of effect that had on my Chiari?
Just the thought of riding a lawnmower or motorcycle is giving me a HA. I know that any kind of motion (car or bus ride) over a period will knock me out for the day.

I get a headache from riding my motorcycle...does that count, lol.
Hi...well I do not have a riding lawn mower, but I can only imagine that it would indeed add fuel to a fire in a chiari brain.
Riding in my DH 's truck is no fun at all....and long rides in a car I use a big fluffy bed pillow to help hold my head a tad more still than with out.
Also, the sun can be a very big HA factory...so do wear good sunglasses as well as a brimmed hat.
Hope the HA doesn't last too long
