I have EDS/Stickler's syndrome....Geneticist is still unsure about which one as I don't "fit neatly" into either dx. Have you been to a genetic doc? I would strongly suggest that you find out if you, indeed, do have an underlying connective tissue disorder as that could change the protocol for your upcoming surgery.
I was scheduled to go through the testing and see surgeon Jan 8th but my employer just gave us new insurance cards. I noticed I have a new provider and now my doctors are no longer covered!
I called University of Chicago and they are going to see me, so I'll have to talk to them and see what they say about testing.
Hi...ur dura patch can be the cause of ur issues...and I also have EDS and my surgeon used my pericardium to avoid issues like u r having.
As for The vertebral arteries they are two major arteries that carry oxygen to the brain and spinal cord, so with one blocked this is not good at all and u deff should have this addressed.
Make sure u see a Chiari specialist.
