Very thin blood and chiari

Hi I have a Chiari malformation and have not had decompression surgery. I recently was put on blood thinners for a pulmonary embolism and I wanted to get my blood tested it was 8.4 which is critically High meaning that my blood is extremely thin and I have a high likelihood of having brain hemorrhaging. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a situation like this and if so do you feel about your Chiari had any impact on bleeding period I'm concerned that the pressure on my brain is going to cause bleeding. I'm trying to get I blood to the correct INR level. In the mean time I am worried. My job is quite physical and if I even tap my head told to go immediately to the ER.

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

I am not aware of anyone else having this issue.....we are all different in how we are affected plus our families medical history comes into play as well....it is possible to have multiple issues/conditions at once.

What area are you in and do you have a true Chiari specialist yet?
