OK guys I have CHARIMALIFORMATION 1 and 2 I have lived knowing about this since I was 12 years old I'm 22 now and I was wondering if anyone else has been told that they can't have the surgery cause they have to many health problems! I have a heart problem I recently had open heart surgery. I almost didn't make it through the heart surgery. And I have 1 kidney so has anyone else been told that they have to many health problems to have surgery

Hi Currissa and welcome to the Chiari forum.
I have been on this forum for over 8 yrs and am not aware of anyone being told they could not have surgery for health reasons but I also have not had anyone say they had the issues along with Chiari that you have.
Was the Dr you saw a Chiari specialist and were other related conditions ruled out?
