I am scheduled for my pre-op appt with my NS. Last time I was there this was the procedure that they said they were going to do, but I never really thought much about it until I just read the article. Sounds like a good thing
lol - well - when you can't do much else... the computer is a nice way to pass the time!! :)
Wow! I can't believe you are on the computer so soon! Thank you so much for responding! I will send you a message. Take care and get lots of rest!!!
Hi there!! I just had this done!!
I was told it was the 'standard' decompression surgery - but it was written out on all my paperwork as:
suboppcital craniectomy (with C1 laminectomy) and dural graft!
I just had my surgery done on october 1st and came home from the hospital yesterday! ask any questions you may have - i'd be happy to help (just know it might take me a day or so to get back to you as im still on pain meds)

Thanks for posting the article, and for your well wishes! I will be sure to keep you posted on my recovery...take care.

i don't know anybody that has had this particular surgery either but it certainly does sound fascinating! and looks very promising too! i wish you the very best of luck and hope you will let us all know how you make out! i don't know if this is the same website selma sent you or not, but just so others can have a look, i'm going to include it.
