chiari malformation 6 weeks after
I had my surgery exactly 6 weeks ago today (surgery 9/7/11) All went well in the hospital. Interested in knowing if others have done well the first few days/week and then at home extremely tired, weak, headaches, neck and shoulders feel like they are pulling/stretching, back of head tight and lumps along the incision. Interested in any information on others day to day changes, week to week, etc.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. YOUR RESPONSE/INFO WAS BASIC BUT JUST WHAT I NEEDED. I MUST HAVE BEEN TRYING TO HARD TO SEE IF I COULD TURN MY HEAD WHICH PROBABLY JUST MADE THINGS WORSE. ALSO, LIFTING--PICKING UP MY NIECE NOT EVEN THINKING ABOUT IT. I FEEL PRETTY GOOD OTHERWISE. THANKS AGAIN,

How u feel is to be expected...the pulling feeling is the healing process....r u doing neck and shoulder exercises?
The lumps along the incision, r they small? it could be the hair regrowing.
Get plenty of rest, the most u should be doing is ur exercises for ur neck and shoulders and some walking....NO lifting..bending...pushing etc.....
