back to the neurosurgeon....

hi everyone, after one neurosurgeon told me i didnt need surgery for a few years, im going back to him because my headaches have gotten so bad that i just had to recently quit my favorite music class, where we sing and dance, but i couldnt do the dancing, so i had to quit =(....also, from chiari my singing voice changed so whenever i sing its all strained(it never used to be like that =(....everytime i get up from sitting i get a sharp pain that lasts for a minute and i still havea steady headache thats about a 7 or 8 all the time......and noww ontop of all this my doctor said i might have syringonmylia or however you spell that...cuz i had a pain on my spine, so i have to get an mri for that now...ughh its so annoying sometimes. but as usual im really trying to stay positive but its jus hard now.....

I totally get u I am in my jr year to and I had surgery in aug and am still not back there is nothing I want more then to be back at school pain free. But in my area they do home schooling for kids who r sick or in the hospital and it has worked well so look into that before surgery!

thankyouu, and yah wen i was dancing i almost fell off the platform that we danced on cuz i lost my balance, so that wouldnt have been too good if i fell......only thing with surgery, is im gunna miss alota school and i know my health is moreimportant im in my junior year of highschool and thats an important year, but i gutta do wat i gutta do.....

hi selma, yah i know i havent been on here ina while, but im backk, the singing voice thing is so annoying cuz ive been singing since i could talk and people tell me i have a really goodvoice, well i used to anyways, and ill keep you posted, my appointment isnt till the 19th, my moms trying to get us an earlier appointment but the dr's really busy...

Hi Sweety! So sorry things have gotten worse for you! I completely understand about the singing! My husband and i have a dj business and we do karaoke. I have always loved to sing but lately i cant! Either my voice sounds really strained or i'm out of breath the whole time same thing with dancing not to mention the balance issues lol Anyway just wanted you to know i understand and your not alone! --Shannon

Sorry to hear all ur symptoms r getting worse.....the singing voice is a chiari problem...I remember being in church and nothing would come out and it made me feel weird.....
