burning sensation

Is severe neck pain and burning in the neck symptoms of Chiari?

  Hi as u can see from the other replies that yes those symptoms can be attributed to Chiari....they can also be from cerviocranial instability, EDS, as well....so make sure u r tested for ALL related conditions as well so u know the underlying source of ur pains.

Hello... I also have severe pain in my neck along with a burning/tingling feeling as well.  I recently went to the Chiari Institute and Dr B. told me that was a sure symptom of Chiari.

from what I've read on it, it can be neck, base of the skull, and into the shoulders, dont know about the burning part or what the pain is "described as" but it sounds like each individual can have different symptoms. Some chiari people have more of the dizzyness, balance problems, numbness. Some have extreme pain, pressure, fatigue. Or mix and match along with a whole bunch of other possible symptoms. So its hard to tell, but if you do have it, im sure its a contributing factor.
