Hi and Welcome. Go ahead with the tests they want to do since they will have to be done somewhere along the way in your journey. Did you have a CINE MRI done? You said they told you there was no blockage, but you need the CINE done to determine if there actually is flow.
Keep being your strongest advocate with these doctors. Let them do the tests they want and discuss the other tests that need to be done.
Make sure you have a true Chiari specialist...Neurosurgeon or Neurologist. A true specialist won't dismiss all of your symptoms, they just need to pay attention to all of them.
My headaches are bad, neck pain, ringing foggy ears, pain left arm, lower back pain and leg pain. It's frustrating and disappointing sometimes.
They told,y husband the same thing. He just knew his body and had never, ever been a complainer. He saw another doctor, a neurosurgeon, and they did his decomp surgery two weeks later...that was three years ago. He is very stubborn. He was in the hospital for five days. He went to work at his desk job the very next week. This really helped him to focus on daily activities rather than the discomfort. He was definitely a success story. Don't give up!
