I am taking pt right now to be able to go back to work. I do get headaches from the pt at night after I leave, but I think that is mostly due to stiffness in my neck from the exercises. Some aleve and a muscle relaxer normally takes care of that. Do give it some time and see if you start to feel better. PT is not easy. The first two times I left, I thought that it would not help me, or make me worse also, but it is getting better. You just have to remember, what we all know, that your healthcare is your responsibility as well as their's. If they are making you do something that hurts you, tell them. If you hurt when you get home from something, tell them. If you don't, then they can't help you. If you tell them what problems you are having then they can work with you.
Good luck
I just need to give pt a chance. I will try anything if it helps me to be able to go back to work. I just feel some of the issues i have wont be resolved fron pt. But i am going to continue it and see. My pt says he knows what chiari is but i dont believe they have actually worked with someone who has it! I just dont want to work with a pt who has me doin anything that may hurt me more. Is that possible?!
i had pt and the same results as you. i have vertigo and it set it offi think the advice for tbi rehab is good n im going to try it
hey, i had pt for 4 months, and it was great. what are they doing for you?
Sorry to hear pt isn't working for you. For me it helped with my endurance. Ask about a alta sound. I'm not sure if that is what it is called, but what it does is put ultra sound in the deep tissue in your neck area. Not the direct back. It helped with pain relieve when I was in pt. I think that is what it is called. Ultra sound. Ask they should know what it is. Hope this helps
I am so sorry you are having such a bad experience with your pt. I did pt for over a year after having surgery and had a great experience it made everyday living a million times easier when I was able to work on a better gait. I did my pt at a neurorehab place maybe check and see if you have one around or any pt's that are certified in traumatic brain injury, mine was and she was great!
