I hear ya honey. I feel like my family gets it, but not my fiance. I cant stand to hear people complain about their pain that will go away, when ours is here to stay. They need to walk in our shoes for awhile just to see how it is for ud.

How about doctors adopt "innocent of being a hypochondriac until proven guilty"... this may allow us to have to see less people!!! Perhaps some extra education would help too!!  Maybe Chiari and related issues will be more understood and the next generation may have an easier time!  Cash- good luck with your daughter.  I have a little girl that I already worry about having my issues.  I see so many similarities and the young headaches just as I had.  I figure one of these days she will need an MRI just so that we know but I just can't imagine adding all those Dr.'s for her too!

I have to dive into this discussion..i don't have as many drs..yet...who knows but took my dd to pcp yesterday to start process and she said chiari doesn't show up until kids ared at least 15 and its just incidental no worries...really hmmmmm...so now to find a specialist for her. I pray all these drs can help you find relief that is the most important part.

As someone once stated on here.  Us with Chairi and those of us who have had surgery some of our family member's think.  Oh they had surgery they have to be better.  They don't understand Chairi like we do and our wound's heal so they can't see our pain in the inside.  My heart goes out to you because I think we all know how your feeling right now.  Going to Dr's every other day is something we don't choose to do, but I have realized it is procedure that we have to go through.  Hopefully thourgh this journey of your's you will find some answer's in the end.  Wish you a better doctor free day.

I'm in the same boat.  I've seen 4 different doctors in the last 7 days.  I even had to go to ER Friday and Monday - not necessarily Chiari related.  I had 2 people call me last night - family - and both started off with, "Are you sure you're not just worrying yourself into all these medical problems.  I think you just stress too much and if you'd stop thinking about it, you'd feel much better.  I think most of it is in your head."  I got so mad.  I got that from doctors in the beginning and my family can SEE how I am and still say that?  Probably because they don't see me everyday and live an hour away.  I don't know.  Yes, I get that stressing about something doesn't help.  But a perfectly health 29 year old doesn't deteriorate in 3 years like I have when I rarely went to the doctor before 29.  What.... I just woke up one day and decided to become a hypochondriac?  Sorry for hijacking but I'm being sent to 2 more doctors for other things (spleen and digestive related) and 2 of the doctors I already saw for this issue have 2 different opinions.  My husband asked what they said when I got home...I told him...and he said, "all those doctors are nothing but guessers in a white lab coat."  I'm starting to feel that way because I've become so well versed from my own research and stuff that I'm almost better off diagnosing myself.  So maybe that's a little irrational but it's how I feel most of the time.

I felt the same as you are for awhile there.  It seemed I had an appt every other day.  It does get better though.  Now I don't go but once a month and every 6 for the NS.  It's good they are keeping an eye on you  :)
Have a good day  "Linda"

I agree!!! I had my tilt table with a cardiologist yesterday and he now wants me to add a different NL and I need to get to the PCP for potassium level checks because of the new meds... on top of it, I am not sure I fully trust his choices so I am trying to get a hold of my NS because I think he is REALLY smart and can help me to see the right people!  It is a long crazy process with lots of different doctors!
