28 months and mad at mom

I'm a working mom who travels, my son's father is home 2 days a week full-time and our nanny is with him 3-days per week. I come and go frequently, when I'm home I do my best to give my son my full attention, and be with him. Increasingly, he ignores me when I come home, or in the morning before I leave he stomps around, won't look at me, won't acknowledge me. I ask him if he's mad and he says "NO!". Writing this I feel like an idiot becuase duh, he's 2 and of course he's pissed his mom comes and goes. How should I respond? Should I grow up and not take it personal and allow him his feelings and continue on even though I'm hurt and I feel like I've failed him and he hates me, and our relationship is doomed forever....?

well it does affect a child there is no doubt, they need their mom around at this tender age ,so really he has the Nanny and his dad around most of his bonding time of life. Maybe cut back the time you are away ? if you cannot I doubt very much he will hate you, kids dont , but I do think it will affect the relationship in some way ,.children need parents around and Mom is very Important.Sorry its my opinion I can see it no other way ...he needs you .
