4 1/2 son with uncontrollable anger issues

I have a 4 1/2 yo son who can't control his anger.  He goes into fits of rage, swears, throws things, kicks, screams uncontrollably.  It's like someone flicks on a lightswitch and he snaps.  He can be such a good boy and can be very loving, he is also rather bright which sometimes I wonder if that is part of his problem.  When he gets angry it's like he doesn't know how to calm himself down he would rather fight till the end then back down from the situation.  He has these outbursts at creche aswell, he will pick up the little tables and lift them above his head to throw them. I feel really sorry for him and I get really upset watching him.  I don't know what to do for him or how to control these situations.  Can you suggest what could be the cause of these outbursts.  please help.

I have read a lot about the same anger problems and here are the few point I have to look out too:
1: Blood Sugar Levels  2: AM Outside time before lunch with the parents   3: Possibility of an antioxidant supplement will help  4:  Give him chores to do   5:  Keep a finite schedule for bed and awake time

hey there it sound sliek we are in the same situation, i just do not know what to do anymore... i have found nothing to work so if you have any suggestions that you have gotten thus far please let me know.
