Yeah.....For a 4 year old - you are lucky he attends to an activity for 4 minutes.....Anyway - I would look for regress, if there is no regression - everything is good.
I find that in US culture, schools/pre-schools expect 4 year olds to sit quitely and engage in art while very few children are able to do so for more than, say, 2 minutes
I stiffen my body when upset too:) And jump up and down when excited - even at work, and I am 28 years old...Nobody minds so far:)
To deal with change in a cirriculum - they can probably discuss daily activities during eary morning circle time - it may go over better
Good luck
Check with doc about the toe-walking
Good luck
Did she have anything positive to say about your son? Is this the way she actually said these things? If this is all she has to complain about, I would say she is very lucky and you have a normal 4 year old. I would take him to the Dr. about walking on his toes.
He is not sharing well
Becomes bored after a few minutes of activity
Does not like change in the curriculumn
Stiffens his body when upset/ crosses arms on chest
Walks on tip toes
Does not hold a scissor correctly
Jumps up & Down when he is happy/excited
Sounds like a Normal child to me nearly every child I know does similar behaviors , Why does his teacher think that these things create a problem.Stiffening his body sounds okay when he is upset ,so is frowning and pulling a face and scowling, or is it a symptom now of a disorder, the whole thing is the teacher making a big thing of the same things other children do , it will be interesting for you to see what your Doctor says.Good Luck
