Behavioral vomiting?

I have a 20 month old daughter that has been vomiting (sometimes up to 4 times a day) from birth and because she was always gaining weight, nothing was ever done until i took her to see a paediatrician. He ran blood tests, stool samples, and a Barium(?) swallow test, but they all came back fine. They're leaning towards a lactose intolerence so my daughter has been on a very stricked no milk (or anything containing milk) diet but still seems to be vomiting. The odd thing is she vomits just as we sit her down for a meal, before eating anything! it's like the thought of food makes her sick, nearly everytime she vomits is when we sit her down for a meal. She was also attending day care but each time i dropped her off she'd vomit! Any advice would be helpful, thankyou

Boy, I don't know.  Stomach issues are so hard to figure out in little ones.   When I was 11, I was sick for three months and lost 30 pounds (which is a tremendous amount for an 11 year old).  I had every test run on me and nothing was showing up.  I had stomach pains and nausea so I just stopped eating.  They were suggesting it was psychological.  Finally, they did an endoscopy on me----  which was rarely done on children back then (I'm in my 40's now) and a small ulcer was found in my small intestines (duadunal -spelling ulcer) caused by bile back up.  It took about the whole three months to find out what was wrong and once it was known, I drank this chalky stuff that made me feel better in about 48 hours.  So, I know it can be very hard to figure out why something is occuring and a little one as young as yours would  make it so tough.  So, I don't have any advice except to keep looking for the cause.  My mother didn't believe it was psychological----  and kept pressing until they found the ulcer.  At 11 it is rare to have ulcers--- and I have only had one other as an adult.  but you just never know.  Good luck!!
