Does my 4 year old have a compulsive disorder?

Since my daughter was an infant, she has always had the need to touch me.  What's wrong with that, you ask? Well, when she was nursing, she would lightly pinch the back of my arm with one hand and pinch my neck with the other.  Once she turned 1 and stopped nursing, she would need to lightly press on my veins in the crease on my arm where my elbow bends or place her fingers on my vein in my neck.  It doesnt hurt, but it gets a little annoying.  When I move, she freaks out.  She only does this when she is resting or at bedtime, and only does this to me.  I feel like she has some kind of compulsive disorder.
I have noticed how overly picky she is on certain things, like making sure the line across her toes on her socks are perfectly straight.  Hee behavior does concern me a bit.
Any insight?

Sometimes these annoying things are just habits. Tell her to stop it because that you don't like it. I would not look for any profound psychological reason for this behavior. Children go through weird phases. This one is harmless, but annoying.

it sounds like her method of soothing her self not any disorder, completely normal behavior as it doesn't hurt or worry you dont be concerned by it, if you wanted you could try putting her hands on a soft blanket see if you can transfer some of the need to another object. It will probably disappear as she gets older. It has become a common worry that normal behaviors are some 'disorde'r when most times they are not and there is an explanation.good luck

I apologize about asking the age of your daughter....I just realized you did mention it.  Sorry!

How old is your daughter now?  Is she meeting all her developmental milestones?  How is her eye contact, her speech, response to your questions, etc.?  And you mention that she is overly picky on certain things - is there anything else besides the sock issue?  Does she seem irritable, sleep excessively or wake frequently?  The more details you give, the more we can help.

I'll look for your posting.
