Well, it is a tough subject matter. My son has a nappy obsession, though he has to wear pull ups as he will just pee and poo his pants. What I'd suggest is sit down with you son and have a talk. See why he likes them. Talk to a doctor perhaps. If he does do something on purpose, then maybe you should put him in pull ups until you have found what to do. I hope this may help.
Well it has been going on for a about 18 months. We do exactly that - tell him he is a big boy and they are for babies in a very calm tone as we do not want him to feel uncomfortable. Everytime he sees them he cannot stop staring at them and we have to almost drag him away. He often asks for them and even wants to have 'ladies nappies' - sanitary towels. Maybe you cannot call it an obsession, I am no Dr - we were just concerned as to why he was like this and it has not 'passed'. Is it common behaviour...? If we are ever anywhere with babies he will try and think of a way to get to the nappies and take them or hide them or trry out one on. He is a very intelligent litle boy. It seems like he is compelled to do it! Thanks for the previous reply.
Was this only the one incident as that doesnt make it a concern or an obsession, what makes you think it is? Maybe lessen the talk about it, tell him Diapers "Nappys"are for babies and small children and leave it at that, do not feed into it as it could be causing the issue.
