2 years obsessive behavior

My child is  two years old and he likes very much a tv program, he  want the whole day to watch this, he wants us to play the record, also something that  worries me is that he has a fly of this program and a little magazine, he goes wherever he goes with this fly and little magazine,  and screams if somebody wants to take this away.  He is going to the nursery school and  he also take this fly and magazine there.  Something else that  worries me  whenever he plays with different things he has to order them in a strict line,  I believe it is not  normal, could any bogy tell me their point of view and what should   I do?  Thank you very much in advance

He does sound like a normal little boy, dont put the TV on a lot,but let him have his flier ,he seems to be attached to this because it has become a main activity in his life ,dont stop all the TV suddenly, but ease it off ,do more physical stuff with him ,is there a Dad here ask him to get your Boy involved with more Physical activitys, Distract him to something else more attention and this will stop. I have also seen many Normal kids place toys and even food in order and like it that way it seems to be the way they like it,its not a problem.

It's not unusual for toddlers to become fixated on a particular thing they like for days or weeks at a time.  I have a nephew who is 5 now, however when he was 3 he had the fascination with trains....he carried this catalogue that had trains in it everywhere he went and if you tried to take it from him, he would freak out.   My nephew still loves trains, however since starting shcool, he has developed other interests as well.

I think your son's "obsession" with this will pass soon enough.  The best thing to do is not to pay too much attention to it.  He may sense your anxiety/worried over this issue and that will make him more anxious as well to work on separating from this.  Also, kids at that age are into very much into repeating behaviour, etc....any two yr. old could watch the same tv program cartoon, etc over and over, and over again.

So, don't worry too much about it...your son sounds like a normal 2 yr. old.
