Why is my 4yr old peeing in his pants when he is home??

My 4yr old poops no problem in the toilet for about a year now.  He wears underwear during the day and does not have accidents in school or when playing outside.  BUT when he is home he has accidents (pee) all day!  Once in awhile he runs to the bathroom saying, 'I have to do pee pee' and he does.  Most of the time I am constantly reminding him to go to the bathroom and he either says 'I don't have to, or I don't feel any' and I leave him alone to only find a few minutes later, he is sitting in a puddle.

He loves video games and I make him pee before and after and I have taken them away from him as punishment when he pees in his pants, but I have been told to not scold or punish.

What should I do??  He does wake up dry at night (he is still in a pull up) but he doesn't wake up in the middle of the night to pee, but as soon as he wakes up he runs to the bathroom.

Any suggestions?

I have heard of this problem so many times and I am convinced it some Laziness, they get engrossed in what they are doing and forget, if he has just been to the Bathroom, and you leave him for a few mins he is going a lot, does he drink a lot in the evening, I assume it is evening as you say he doesnt do it at school, perhaps let him drink what he wants during the day and cut back in the evening.I agree this doesnt warrant punishment,it is probably merely a moment in time adjustment as he gets older, for now Mop up and dont worry.
