embarassing

my husband left his phone laying around and my six year old unlocked it and got into his videos, she saw some things she was not supposed to see and now she is asking all sorts of questions about the video. i dont know what to say to her so that she gives it as little importance as possible and moves on. worst of all her twin sister is mad at the fact that we, the other twin and i, are keeping secrets from her. any advice on how to handle this situation safely?
thank you.

Yes,  she may now want to play what she saw out.  How in the world did she get the pin number for this phone?   This is so weird,  really,  that she could grab the phone,  unlock it,  and also know the pin number for private videos.  But anyway.

Keep in mind that MANY children wander around the house in the wee hours and catch their parents in the act.  At that point,  the parents just say this is something adults who love each other very much do,  to show each other their love.  This is not something children ever do.  When you're an adult and in love with your husband,  you will know what this is about.  And then drop it.

Best wishes.  But in the meantime,  change the pin number.  It's so odd that she knew all this by herself,  pin number and all.   My adult boys can't even possibly guess my Pin number.

hey everyone, thank you for replying.

yes, what she saw was a video of him and i having sex, it was deleted and i did speak to her about what she saw, but i tried to focus the conversation more on the fact that she was playing with her dads phone, rather than the actual content of the video.
she actually took the phone, unlocked it pin number and all, went to the videos and the pictures, they have been told not to touch the phone, that it is not a toy.
then we did not even find out the whole story until he had to make a phone call and she had left the phone on the video screen.
she did not say a word about it, not to her sisters, or to me or her dad, until i asked who was playing with daddy's phone and her twin threw her under the bus...
my main concern is that she starts getting curious about sex due to what she saw in the video, u know that she may want to play out what she saw in the video with her friends in school for example .

First off,  this is kind of a warning to your husband to not have inappropriate embarrassing things on his phone that anyone can access just by picking it up.  I can't tell what it was he had - my guess also is porn,  and it might be actual video of you or the two of you doing the deed.  I can't tell.

Just briefly say to your girls what it was,  and it's deleted,  and was silly to have on the phone anyway.

Hi, If it was fairly harmless stuff I would try to ignore it. I would just say silly daddy that's not supposed to be on there I will get Daddy to fix that. Don't worry she will forget if you don't make a fuss. She is just reacting to you snatching the phone and being stressed. I understand you feel embarrassed but try not to worry. Tell Daddy not to leave his phone around where little people can get at it. It will all work out Cheers

What were the things?  Porn?  Or pix of you in racy situations?  If it was you, just tell her that you and he were goofing off.  If it is porn, that's a different thing.
