wierd behavior from infant

My friend told me her son was a biter and really aggressive. He is almost 1yr old. He sliced his finger on a piece of paper and instead of crying or showing any emotion, he wrote on the walls with the blood. He makes his older brother cry by hurting him. She asked fro my advice but i don't know what to say. I do not think this behavior is normal but....what to i know? i'm not a doctor

I have a 19 month old, and I agree with the others..it's kinda tough to imagine the wall writing. At this age, he doesn't write yet...the closest we come is a bit of scribbling with crayons.

The biting is pretty normal.  As the others said, it's probably teething.  When my son was that age and had teeth coming in he would chew on everything and anything..people were no exception.

As for hurting the older brother...at this age they will grab toys and smack others with them.  Head butting, things like that.  It's not usually aggression I don't think..in my son's case it was playful behaviour as of course they have not yet grasped the concept that this hurts.  Diversion is the best thing at that age and telling them gently but firmly..no, that hurts.  And "gentle hands".  Eventually they get it.

Did you make a typo.... did you mean to write almost 11 year old rather than almost 1 year old?

Ya, I agree he was wiping his finger on the wall.   And his teeth are coming in. Get him a Gel ring to chew on and he will quit biting everyone.

I completely agree with Margy.  How does a baby slice his finger on a piece of paper and then write on the walls?

He doesn't,  is the answer.  An almost 1 year old can't even walk,  much less "write" on the walls.
